Will acne and acne scars go away when you get older?

They'll definitely fade, but some of the deep ones never fully go away (they leave faint red marks or little dents). Acne does tend to go away when you get older, unless you have severe acne then you would want to see a dermatologist to get it under control. Also some acne scars do go away. If it is an ice pick scar then no it does not, they are the deep scars from picking at acne that is cystic, but for the regular red scars from acne those do go away typically between 6-12 months. Acne really depends on an individual, you can still breakout even if you in your 40's. Acne scars on the other hand, really depends on the depth of it, cuz sometimes the light one will go away in 3 months on its own. You can use products such as mederma that you can purchase at drugstores or walmart and it helps with acne scar to lighten and make your scar smoother.
As you get older you'll have less or no acne but it's always good to have clean and non-oily skin. Scars on the other hand can either be permanent if they are bad (so don't pick at pimples!) but with Vitamin B12 liquid form it helps to keep scars from forming and damaging the skin
Acne scar will stay. If you don't do something now, the spots will go darker because the skin is constantly producing melanin which makes the dark pigments on our skin . You can suppress the production of melanin using papaya kojic and licorice base soap and cream which are available online. These work wonders. Maybe it will work on you too. Yes, especially if you don't see them on your parents as a previous poster noted. But there is now laser treatments for really bad acne, so even if you do scar, they can be removed. You can also get rid of the acne causing it with a certain type of laser.

No. Try tea tree oil for the acne. Then vitamin E for the scars.
