I want to know if acne scars ever leave,or are they permeant, what should I use?Do acne scars ever fade away?
This depends on the severity and type of your scars. If you have what are are called ';ice-pick'; scars -- those deep scars that make your skin look somewhat like an orange peel, then those will require medical intervention to remove --%26gt; dermabrasion, laser treatments, or acne surgery, sometimes called ';punch'; excision. There are also dermal ';fillers';, but some of these are temporary and are not always a great option for long-term results.





If your scars are more ';hyperpigmentation'; scars -- the dark, reddish marks on skin from old acne, then these do fade over time. This can be treated with at-home products. Look for treatments that contain hydroquinone. You can also use washes (not scrubs) that contain glycolic acid. Overly-harsh scrubs will aggravate your skin and irritate it, perpetuating the redness.





If your skin has ';depression scars';, the kind the sink just a little below the surface of the other skin (but are not like punctures into the skin), again medical treatment (dermabrasion) is the best option, but fewer treatments are required than with ';ice-pick'; scars, so it's less expensive. Micro-dermabrasion at-home kits (this is not the same as regular dermabrasion -- a medical procedure) can also be effective, but it will take a significant period of time (many, many months of consistent treatment) for results to be observed.





Whatever type of scarring you have, it is treatable, it just depends on what type of you have. A plastic surgeon or a dermatologist can treat you. If you have the deep scarring, see a plastic surgeon. If you have the milder form of depression scarring, a dermatologist can probably help you out. It's not forever -- and all types of scars do usualy improve over time -- but it's very slow.Do acne scars ever fade away?
