Has anyone used prefer on for scars?

I just started using it on a scar I have on my midsection and the skin is flaking a little bit on my scar. is this normal?Has anyone used prefer on for scars?
I'm pretty sure it is. I think the skin on your scar eventually peels off and new skin underneath is scar- free. :)

Some people will tell you that sitting out in the sun helps acne. But this isn't true. A suntan can make acne look less severe by hiding pimples, but it won't help them go away. It can also cause acne to reappear because of the sweat from the sun. And too much sun isn't a good idea anyway because it can give you a sunburn today, and wrinkles and skin cancer later in life.

Your body needs plenty of vitamin C to b able to fight against acne. Drinking fresh orange juice regularly will progressively fade away acne scars. Vitamin C contributes in the restoration of damaged skin. To be frank, I personally do not like orange but I consume it to keep my skin healthy! Anyways, you may drink any fresh fruit's juice rich in vitamin C.I got oil burn scars on my face like pimple size 2 days ago.does anyone help me to get rid of scar?

What is the best way to miNIMIZE SPIDER/VARICOSE VEINS AND ACNE SCARS??

The only way to get rid of spider veins and vericose veins is to either have lazer treatments, or injections to collapse the vein. It's much easier to hide them. A great trick I like to use is using one of those gradual sunless tanners. I like the one dove makes, it doesn't smell bad like the others. It makes the viens much less noticable, and makes your legs look thinner too. As for the acne scars, the most effective way to get rid of them is to get a series of light chemical peels at a spa or skin care center. It's not as scary as it sounds, but it can be pricey. You'll need at least 3 treatments to see a major improvement, and it costs around $100 a treatment depending on where you go. Using a daily product with alpha hydroxy acid (glycolic acid) will help the marks fade faster, and there are also spot lighteners that you can use(look for a product with hydroquinone). The best thing to do is prevent pimples from forming in the first place by cleansing your skin in the morning and at night, and using a daily acne treatment product with salicylic acid, or benzoyl peroxide as the active ingredient. You can get these at any drug store. What is the best way to miNIMIZE SPIDER/VARICOSE VEINS AND ACNE SCARS??
Try a new product from AVON called ANEW Spider Vein Therapy SPF 15. Its formulated to reduce the appearance of existing spider veins and help prevent future appearances. What is the best way to miNIMIZE SPIDER/VARICOSE VEINS AND ACNE SCARS??
there's not much. you can't get rid of varicose veins without sergery. For acne scars you can try maderma. It's at wal mart
to treat BOTH of those...get microdermabrasion...a laser you use to minimize them. i'm geting it done :D

it feels like a rubber band snaping on you...(acne scars) and you have to go back to treaments...like the more and worst acne scars are the more treaments you need....the treaments ARENT low cost...but there not the most exspensive...but it depends on how much treaments you need that determines the cost. well i hope i helped :]

    FOR ACNE SCARS:

Completely getting rid of acne scars takes a long time. Getting rid of scars isn't very easy.

Squeezing or picking at acne can damage the skin tissue around the acne. This can lead to the scarring that is such a concern for many people.

If the nature of your scars is mild to moderate, then home remedies are sufficient. There are many lotions based on alpha hydroxyl acid and retinol. These lotions are very effective for the treatment of the acne scars. it also depends on the type of your skin. If you have a sensitive skin type, it will be better not to use lotions based on the above ingredients. They can harm sensitive skin. There is a specific range of medications to treat people who can not undergo retinol and alpha acid treatments. The most effective among them are lavender oil, aloe vera juice and rosehip seed oil. They can heal scars without harming the skin in the long run.

I suggest trying aloe vera juice and putting that on your face at night where the scars are.

    Also, try lemon juice.

To use the lemon juice treatment to remove your acne scar you will need to first wash your face with warm water. Then pour some lemon juice on a cotton ball, and then gently rub the effected acne mark area. For best results leave the lemon juice on your face for about 10 minutes and then dry the affected acne scar area.

To start seeing results with the lemon juice it can take anywhere from one day and even up to three months. Results will vary depending on the seriousness of the acne problem.

Another big factor in reducing or getting rid of acne scars is that you will also need to watch the kind of oils you are putting into your body. Some oils that you use is just screaming acne come and get me!

One of the most common forms of vegetable oil is the sunflower oil. It is highly recommended that if you are using such oils in your cooking then you should consider stop using them to cook as it will only increase the risk of more acne break outs.

By avoiding the use of vegetable oils in your cooking, it has been reported that it can be one of the leading factors in clearing up your acne by 50%. Even in sever cases it has been said that that people who stopped using such vegetable oils, have been completely relieved of any future acne outbreaks.

Ready to hear this? Believe it or not by drinking more than the recommended 8 glasses of water daily will immediately begin to see results with getting rid of your acne scars. If you are a severe acne suffer you should stay away from carbonated drinks, and caffeine drinks such as coffee, and sodas.

Or if you have the money, do to a dermatologist.

If you have serious scarring from previous bouts with acne, there are some things you can do. One form of treatment is laser resurfacing, which can be done in the doctor's or dermatologist's office. The laser removes the damaged top layer of skin and tightens the middle layer, leaving skin smoother. This can take anywhere from a few minutes to an hour. The doctor will try to lessen any pain by first numbing the skin with local anesthesia. It usually takes between 3 and 10 days for the skin to heal completely.

Another method for treating acne scarring is dermabrasion, which uses a rotating wire brush or spinning diamond instrument to wear down the surface of the skin. As the skin heals, a new, smoother layer replaces the abraded skin. It may take a bit longer for skin to heal using dermabrasion 鈥?usually between 10 days and 3 weeks.

The newest form of treatment for acne scarring is called fractional laser therapy. This type of treatment works at a deeper level than laser resurfacing or dermabrasion, Because fractional laser therapy doesn't wound the top layer of tissue, healing time is shorter. Fractional laser therapy is quite costly, and it's not usually covered by insurance.

A person's acne will need to be under control before having any of these treatments.

Depending on the severity of the acne scars, the doctor or dermatologist may also suggest a chemical peel or microdermabrasion to help improve the appearance of scarred areas. These milder treatments can be done right in the office.

Some of these are rather expensive though.

    FOR PIMPLES:

Other than washing your face a lot : (I recommend Clearasil Ultra. There is a 3 step system and it works great!)

Ice down the acne before bed, by morning it should be noticeably less swollen. Works best on larger pimples that have not yet formed a head.

Put toothpaste on your pimple before you go to bed, should help reduce swelling overnight. Make sure it is the paste not the gel. One of the most popular acne home remedies. Becareful it might make your skin dry. If your skin gets dry use a moisturizer lotion.

Tea Tree oil can also be applied directly to infected pores.

Apply fresh lemon juice on the affected area overnight. Wash off with warm water next morning. This might also make your skin dry.

    Drink plenty of water.

Pimple Removal : (only do this on pimples that have formed a head)

Prepare for a small surgical pimple removing procedure. You'll need a small sewing needle, a bottle of alcohol, some gauze (or a small band-aid), and some warm water. Some people think you'll need to run a needle through a flame. This isn't Dr. Quinn Medicine woman. Rubbing alcohol will do.

Wash your face and hands before attempting to pop the pimple. Washing your face and hands ensures that all makeup, oils, germs and bacteria are no longer near the pimple you're about to burst. Also, dip a majority of the needle in the alcohol, and for safe measure apply some of that alcohol to your fingers and the pimple--dabbing with some gauze to dry the area.

Prick the white part of the pimple very lightly with the tip of your needle. Once you've done that, put two small squares of gauze on either side of the pimple and apply pressure with two fingers to ensure that the remaining puss is squeezed out of the pore, retaining pressure until clear liquid appears. When clear liquid or blood appears, you'll know the pimple is gone.

Wipe the pimple clean with an alcohol soaked gauze pad. It'll sting a little, but that's a good thing. The alcohol will kill most of the bacteria in and around the wound, helping you to avoid an infected pimple. If you wish, you can put a small, sterile bandaid on the area or cover it with an antibacterial concealer

    For redness use eye drops.

This works for me!How to get rid of acne marks/scars and pimples?
Personally, ive read alot on scars as i have quite a few left over too. What ive heard to do is apply acv(apple cider vinegar, u can buy it at ur grocery store for under 2 bucks) and mix it half and half with warm water. Then dab the diluted acv with a cotton ball and apply it on your scar. Also i have heard that drinking it is great too but it might taste a bit sour :P . Also another great thing to do is go make an appointment with your dermatologist and get her/him to prescribe u a tropical gel called ';retin a micro';. As ive heard and read, u need to apply just a lil' dab on the scar for about twice a day, preferably morning and night. However the downfall to using retin-a micro is that it will peel your skin - but thats how it works. Using retin-a micro will make ur scars get better before it gets worst. tho retin a micro wont work over night, i am more then certain u will achieve decent results from using it atleast about 2-3 weeks. It takes a bit of time, but im positive that if you use this tropical and dab some acv dilutd with water, those maarks will fade in time. gd luck :)
    Mederma works pretty well.
scars not sure but i hear proactiv is great but only if you constantly use it and once you stop i hear the pimples come back worse so if you plan on having a clear face and to keep it clear keep the proactiv going.
try using proactiv, clean %26amp; clear, or nuetregena(dont know how to spell it).

Do scars resulting from deep facial lacerations go away. How can they be reduced. Is time a remedy?

depends on how jagged the cut was and exactly how deep. the deeper the damage the longer and harder it is to get rid of the scar. time can help a little with discoloration and healing, but once it's a scar that's it ur stuck with it pretty much. if the wound is still healing try keeping aquaphor or neosporin on it. if it's already healed try mederma, it's supposed to help minimize scars.Do scars resulting from deep facial lacerations go away. How can they be reduced. Is time a remedy?
As per a report many anti-acne products are known to worsen rosacea symptoms. Medical experts strongly urge rosacea sufferers to stop using these products. Rosacea is a common skin condition that affects many Americans, but it can also spread to the eyes and cause a constant gritty, burning sensation. I have been in search a product that works on my skin, I finally found it on one of acne rosacea review site. I use ZENMED Skin Support System - Dry Skin, and I saw results in weeks! I recommend to go for ZENMED Skin Support System - Dry Skin once. CheersDo scars resulting from deep facial lacerations go away. How can they be reduced. Is time a remedy?
Try Bio oil, it's expensive but does reduce the apperance of scars.
No they won't go away but you can help to reduce the red scarring tissue. A friend of mine found that after major surgery if she put 100% vitamin E oil onto her scar 3 times a day, it helped to reduce her scar tissue. Even liquid colloidal silver or the gel applied liberally onto the lacerations can help to heal them. Here's a link I have found for you: http://www.colloidalsilvergel.com/ Hope this helps?
Deep lacerations will not go away by themselves. You need to see a board certified dermotologist or a board certified plastic surgeon. There are now lasers on the market that could possibly give you the result that you want. Without seeing them, I can't really tell you for sure. However, there are other methods as well. My advice would be to see a plastic surgeon certified with ASPRS. You can find the ones that are certified by going to the ASPRS website. They will definitely be able to tell you what needs to be done. I CAN tell you that they can definitely be helped if not removed completely. If your plastic surgeon does not work with the new lasers, then he will send you to someone who does, if that is his recommendation. Many plastics don't charge for an initial consultation, or if they do, it is a negligible amount. Also, check with your insurance company..for something like this (reconstructive) they may cover it.

Getting rid of pimples and scars!?

I get lots of pimples and i don noe y. And i have itchy hands so i tend to squeeze those pimples out and that results in scars. Can someone reccomend some cream or method to get rid of black scars and lots of pimples.I have tried many things but none seem to work!!HELP!Getting rid of pimples and scars!?
hello =) i think that the first thing you should do is try to keep a clean face..have a routine or make it a point that you always have your face clean..bring with you some moist/wet tissues that are recommended for the face..also, oil blotters or oil-control paper would definitely help because it decreases the oil on your face..

second, make sure you know your skin type so you could buy the ones suitable for you..and try to choose products that are non-comedogenic..which means that they won't clog your pores..

if these simple fixes don't work for you still, might as well consult a dermatologist..it might be on your genes already..and they know what to do..

hope this helps..=)Getting rid of pimples and scars!?
Firstly, acne has nothing to do with hygiene. Anti-comodonogenic products help with with reducing blackheads. If you acne is not helped by over the counter products, then your GP can prescribe long term anti-biotics and topical creams to reduce the spots, large pores and prevent futher scarring.
